Winning CT Lottery Tickets Recently Sold At 2 Fairfield Stores

FAIRFIELD, CT — Residents from Bridgeport and Stamford are a bit richer this week after claiming winning lottery tickets they purchased in Fairfield, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Monday, Clyde Battiste won $15,416 when he claimed a winning “PLAY4 DAY” ticket the Bridgeport resident purchased at News Express on Tunxis Hill Road.

Also on Monday, Carmen Cardenas Contreras won $10,000 when she claimed a winning “$100,000 Cashword 11” ticket the Stamford resident purchased at a Cumberland Farms on Kings Highway.

The Connecticut Lottery only publishes names of people who win $10,000 or more, which officials claim is quite common.

“The fact is, people win every day with the CT Lottery!” officials said in a statement.
