The Connecticut Lottery has announced three recent area winners, one in Bristol and two in Southington.

Tara Chozet, director of public relations for the Connecticut Lottery, said that Wali Burney, of Bristol, redeemed a winning Play4Day lottery ticket on Oct. 14.

“The ticket was purchased from Four Corners Market in Hartford,” said Chozet. “He won $10,208 and redeemed his ticket on the 14th.”

In addition, there were two recent Southington winners on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18.

On Oct. 17, Carmen Ortiz was a Play4Day ticket winner, redeeming their ticket at the local Henny Penny.

“The winning ticket number was 5242, with a wild ball of 1,” said Chozet.

The Oct. 18 winning ticket awarded Southington resident Christopher Borkowski with $500,000.

“His ticket was purchased at the RK Liquor Store,” said Chozet. “He won one of three top prizes for the $500,000 Extravaganza Second Edition.”

Chozet said that the Extravaganza Second Edition game had only recently begun, starting on Oct. 3.

“His was the first of the three top prizes to be claimed,” said Chozet.

Tickets for the $500,000 Extravaganza Second Edition are $20.
