Powerball lottery: Did you win Saturday’s $400M Powerball drawing? Winning numbers, live results (4/23/2022)

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $400 million, with a cash option valued at $240.8 million.

The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. Saturday and televised on WABC-7 in New York and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the conclusion of the drawing.

Saturday’s winning numbers were: 10, 39, 47, 49 and 56. The Power Ball drawn was 8 with a Power Play of 3X.

While no one across the country hit Wednesday’s $372.5 million jackpot, a second-prize $2 million ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven on East 30th Street in Paterson, lottery officials said.

It matched five numbers but not the Powerball and was bought with the Megaplier option for an extra $1, doubling the standard $1 million prize.

Meanwhile, a pair of third-prize tickets matching four numbers plus the Powerball were sold in New Jersey. A $100,000 ticket — bought with the Megaplier option — was purchased at Peapack Sunoco on Route 206 in Peapack. Someone bought a $50,000 ticket at Montvale Snack Shop on Spring Valley Road in Montvale.

Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 20, 30, 45, 55 and 56. The Power Ball drawn was 14 with a Power Play of 2X.

In addition, no one hit the secondary, $10 million drawing that followed the main drawing on Wednesday. The winning numbers were 4, 15, 16, 21 and 52. The Double Play Power Ball drawn was 20

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 of winning the third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball is played on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, as well as Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

New Jersey Lottery offices in Lawrence are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. if players prefer to drop off claims and validate winning tickets in person. Claims can be left in a secure drop box at lottery headquarters. That option applies to prizes worth more than $599.50.

If player wins a prize of $25,000 or more (or otherwise feels more comfortable submitting claims in person) appointments can still be made to meet with lottery representatives in person by calling 1-800-222-0996.
