Plans for inaugural MLB Draft Lottery announced

Major League Baseball today announced the plans for the inaugural MLB Draft Lottery, which will be held on Tuesday, December 6th from the Winter Meetings in San Diego, with exclusive live coverage on MLB Network.  Under the new collective bargaining agreement, the first six selections in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft will be awarded to Clubs via the Lottery, shaping the order of the top 18 choices overall.  The announcement was made as MLB’s General Managers Meetings get underway today in Las Vegas, Nevada.
