Mississippi lottery players win Wheel of Fortune ticket prizes

Two Mississippi Lottery winners from Jackson County will have the option of claiming a trip to Las Angeles to see a taping of Wheel of Fortune, a cruise, $5,000 cash or other prize in the Wheel of Fortune Winner’s Choice.

The two winners from Ocean Springs and Gautier are among five people who were notified by certified mail Wednesday that they were randomly selected in the Wheel of Fortune Winner’s Choice drawing. The other winners are from Laurel, Vicksburg and Columbus.

The five now have 10 days to mail the required information to be verified and claim their prize.

All five can choose the same prize or different prizes, said Meg Annison, spokeswoman for Mississippi Lottery.

Their prize choices are:

A check for $5,000.

The Real Wheel Experience, with round-trip airfare for two to/from Los Angeles International Airport, hotel for four days and three nights, Sony Studios tour, tickets to taping of Wheel of Fortune at Sony Studios, both subject to state and local COVID-19 closures and restrictions, plus $1,500 in spending money.

Round-trip airfare for two to/from domestic port of sailing, hotel the night before sailing, a seven-day, six-night Carnival Cruise for two and $600 of onboard credit.

Round-trip airfare for two to/from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, hotel room on the Las Vegas Strip for four days, three nights double occupancy and $1,500 spending money

Those who didn’t win in this second chance drawing are still eligible to win in the next drawing and the $100,000 drawing at the end of the lottery game, which generally comes when all the top prizes are won.

The Wheel of Fortune lottery game launched in February. Tickets are $5.
