The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $277 million, with a cash option valued at $149 million.
The winning numbers were: 9, 21, 28, 30 and 52. The Mega Ball drawn was 10 with a Megaplier of 5x.
While no one across the country hit Friday’s $256 million jackpot, a second-prize, $1 million ticket was sold in Indiana. The ticket matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball.
In New Jersey, three $10,000, third-prize tickets were purchased, each of which matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball. The tickets were bought at the following locations, lottery officials said:
- Food Mart USA on River Drive in Garfield
- Radburn Liquor on Plaza Road North in Fair Lawn
- ShopRite in the Wayne Hills Mall in Wayne.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $251 million with a cash option of $135.2 million.
