No one across the country hit Tuesday’s $45 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.
In New Jersey, 19 tickets matched four numbers, lottery officials said. One is worth $1,500 because the winner spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier option. The other 18 are valued at $500 apiece.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 21, 30, 35, 45 and 66. The Mega Ball drawn was 21 with a Megaplier of 3X.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot was worth an estimated $800 million with a cash option of $383.7 million on Friday morning. It’s potentially the fifth largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history.
