The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $43 million, with a cash option valued at $25.9 million.
The winning numbers were: 9, 11, 34, 49 and 66. The Mega Ball drawn was 15, with a Megaplier of 2X.
No one across the country hit Tuesday’s $31 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million winners.
In New Jersey, nine tickets matched four numbers. One was sold with the Megaplier option for an extra $1 and is worth $2,000. The other eight are valued at $500 each.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 5, 7, 19, 46 and 69. The Mega Ball drawn was 2 with a Megaplier of 4X.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
The game is played every Tuesday night and Friday night in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
New Jersey Lottery offices in Lawrence are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. if players prefer to drop off claims and validate winning tickets in person. Claims can be left in a secure drop box at lottery headquarters. That option applies to prizes worth more than $599.50.
If a player wins a prize of $25,000 or more (or would otherwise prefer to submit a claim in person) appointments can still be made to meet with a lottery representative in person by calling 1-800-222-0996.
Prizes valued at $599.50 or less should still be claimed at lottery retailers.
