Mega Millions lottery: Did you win Friday’s $410 Mega Millions drawing? Winning numbers, live results (7/8/22)

The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $410 million, with a cash option valued at $230.9 million.

The winning numbers were: 20, 36, 61, 62 and 69. The Mega Ball drawn was 20 with a Megaplier of 3X.

While no one across the nation hit Tuesday’s $370 million jackpot, a pair of second-prize tickets matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball were sold in California.

Each is worth $492,603 — not the standard $1 million — because California lottery prizes vary depending on ticket sales and number of winners. They differ from the fixed second prizes offered in other participating states.

In New Jersey, no one won more than $800 with a single ticket in Tuesday’s drawing.

Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 27, 31, 50, 51 and 61. The Mega Ball drawn was 21 with a Megaplier of 4X.

No one has hit the jackpot since a $20 million ticket was sold in Tennessee for the April 15 drawing. There have been four jackpot-winning tickets sold nationwide so far in 2022.

The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.

Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

New Jersey Lottery offices in Lawrence are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. if players prefer to drop off claims and validate winning tickets in person. Claims can be left in a secure drop box at lottery headquarters. That option applies to prizes worth more than $599.50.

If a player wins a prize of $25,000 or more (or would otherwise prefer to submit a claim in person) appointments can be made to meet with a lottery representative in person by calling 1-800-222-0996.

Prizes valued at $599.50 or less should be claimed at lottery retailers.
