The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $379 million with a cash option valued at $202.6 million.
The winning numbers were: 8, 19, 53, 61 and 69. The Mega Ball drawn was 19 with a Megaplier of 4X.
While no one across the country hit Tuesday’s $354 million jackpot, a second-prize, $1 million ticket was bought in Mississippi. It matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball.
In New Jersey, four of the 26 tickets that matched four numbers were purchased with the Mega Ball for an extra $1 and are worth $1,500 each. The other 22 are valued at $500 apiece, lottery officials said.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 15, 16, 19, 28 and 47. The Mega Ball drawn was 13 with a Megaplier of 3X.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $116 million with a cash option of $61.3 million.
