The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $333 million with a cash option valued at $172.3 million.
The winning numbers were 1, 21, 36 46 and 52. The Mega Ball drawn was 16 with a Megaplier of 3X.
No one across the country hit Tuesday’s $305 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.
In New Jersey, a third-prize ticket matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball was bought at The Store on East Main Street in Ramsey. It’s worth $40,000 instead of the standard $10,000 because the winner spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier option.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 20, 23, 37, 46 and 52. The Mega Ball drawn was 6 with a Megaplier of 4X.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $81 million with a cash option of $42.1 million.
