The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $169 million, with a cash option valued at $95.4 million.
The winning numbers were: 39, 40, 52, 60 and 67. The Mega Ball drawn was 20 with a Megaplier of 2x.
While no one across the country hit Tuesday’s $153 million jackpot, a pair of second-prize tickets matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball were sold. A ticket purchased in Oklahoma is worth $1 million while one bought in Texas is valued at $3 million because it was sold with the Megaplier option for an extra $1.
In New Jersey, a third-prize, $10,000 ticket was sold at 7-Eleven on Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park, lottery officials said.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 2, 38, 55, 57 and 65. The Mega Ball drawn was 17 with a Megaplier of 3x.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $148 million with a cash option of $83.1 million.
