The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $119 million with a cash option valued at $59.1 million.
The winning numbers were: 2, 20, 47, 55 and 59. The Mega Ball drawn was 19 with a Megaplier of 2X.
While no one across the country hit Tuesday’s $87 million jackpot, seven second-prize tickets matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball were sold. A ticket bought in Texas is worth $3 million while two tickets purchased in New York and one apiece sold in Florida, Georgia, Ohio and West Virginia are valued at $1 million apiece.
In New Jersey, five $10,000 tickets were sold. The third-prize tickets, each of which matched four numbers, were bought at the following locations, according to lottery officials.
- 7-Eleven on Passaic Avenue in Nutley
- Jasmine’s Family Convenience Store on Hornberger Avenue in Roebling
- Sicklerville News on Williamstown Road in Sicklerville
- 2 tickets at Woodridge Wine and Liquor on Hackensack Street in Wood-Ridge
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 5, 9, 15, 16 and 17. The Mega Ball drawn was 25 with a Megaplier of 3X.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot has an estimated value of $1.5 billion as of Friday morning and is potentially the third-largest in U.S. lottery history. The cash option is worth at least $745.9 million.
