Massachusetts State Lottery: One $650,000 prize, 12 $10,000 prizes won Friday

There were more than a dozen Massachusetts State Lottery winners Friday who earned prizes worth $10,000 or more, including one lucky ticket-holder who scored $650,000.

The ticket-holder who won the $650,000 prize was playing the “$10,000,000 Bonus Wins” lottery game. They bought their winning ticket at Richdale Food Shops 122 in Canton on Friday, according to the state lottery.

Twelve other ticket-holders won $10,000 prizes each. The winners played a variety of games to get their prizes, including “$15,000,000 MONEY MAKER,” “$5,000,000 100X Cashword 2021,” “$4,000,000 JUMBO CASH,” “$4,000,000 MONEY BAGS” and “$2,000,000 50X Cashword.”

The individuals who won the $10,000 prizes bought their winning tickets at Cumberland Farms, Quick Mart, Richdale Food Shops and other convenience stores across Massachusetts. Winning tickets were bought in the following communities: East Boston, Everett, Framingham, Hingham, Hull, Leominster, Lowell, New Bedford, Springfield, Taunton and Watertown.

Earlier this week and last week, there were lottery winners who scored even larger prizes. In Holbrook, David Watts won the $2 million prize in the “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant ticket game Wednesday, and in Taunton, Donna Stigh claimed the top prize in the lottery’s “4,000,000 Money Bags” game Aug. 9.

Every day, the state lottery releases a list of all the winning tickets that were worth more than $600. The biggest winnings in Massachusetts this year were two $15 million prizes. Both were claimed by trusts.
