Lottery ticket worth $50,000 sold in Hagerstown is unclaimed

A winning $50,000 Maryland Lottery ticket was sold last week at Central City Liquors at 401 W. Washington St. in Hagerstown, according to the lottery.

The Towering 10s Fast Play ticket was sold Friday at the store and was unclaimed as of Monday afternoon, said Maryland Lottery spokesman Seth Elkin.

Elkin said the ticket must be claimed within 182 days of the purchase and can be completed by scheduling an appointment with the lottery’s Baltimore office.

The Maryland Lottery said in a news release Monday that 49 players across the state last week won prizes of $10,000 or more. And on Friday, a $1.337 billion Mega Millions jackpot was won in Illinois.

Maryland Lottery’s Towering 10s is one of its Fast Play games, which are printed on demand at lottery terminals or self-service machines, Elkin said.

Towering 10s made its debut July 4 and started with 30 possible top prizes of $100,000, one of which has been claimed, Elkin said.
