LANSING, MI — A trip out for dinner led to a unbelievable lottery win for a 70-year-old Kent County woman who brought home a $349,733 Lucky 7′s Fast Cash jackpot recently.
“I was out to eat and decided to use the $50 I had in my purse towards a couple of Fast Cash tickets,’” said the winner, who chose to remain anonymous. “I thought I was reading the ticket wrong when I saw I’d matched the number 55 to win the jackpot. I had the waitress look the ticket over for me and when she confirmed what I was seeing we both started shouting.”
The winner bought her ticket at Uccello’s Ristorante, located at 3940 Rivertown Parkway in Grandville. She visited lottery headquarters in lansing recently to claim her prize, which she says she plans on saving.
“Winning still doesn’t seem real! I never thought something like this would happen to me,” said the player.

The last players from Michigan to win a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot is the Wolverine FLL lottery club which claimed a $1.05 billion jackpot in March 2021. With their winnings, the group plans to give back to the community.
And while they were lucky winners, it’s smart for players to check their tickets immediately as a winner worth $1 million sold in Warren last year went unclaimed. The money instead went to the state’s School Aid Fund.
