Howell ShopRite Sells $10K Winning Lottery Ticket

HOWELL, NJ – A Howell ShopRite sold a five-figure lottery prize over the weekend, according to New Jersey Lottery officials.

The store, located at 594 Route 9 South, sold the $10,000 Mega Millions ticket for the Friday, Oct. 14 drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball, a lottery spokesperson said.

One Mantua lottery player in South Jersey purchased a ticket that patched all five of the white balls, winning the $1,000,000 second-tier prize. That ticket was sold at One Stop Shoppe in Gloucester County.

41 other players matched four of the five white balls in Friday’s drawing, each earning $500. Six of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prizes to $1,000. 56,384 other New Jersey players took home $224,504 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400.

The winning numbers for Friday’s drawing were 09, 22, 26, 41, and 44. The Gold Mega Ball was 19, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
