A Brunswick County woman won big on a fast play lottery ticket through the North Carolina Education Lottery.

A Brunswick County woman won big on a $5 North Carolina Education Lottery ticket this week.

According to a news release, Barbara Hall of Ocean Isle Beach won a $198,726 jackpot on a $5 fast play lottery ticket she purchased Tuesday at Minuteman Food Mart on Beach Drive Southwest.

Hall collected her prize Wednesday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh and, after federal and state tax withholdings, took home $141,117.

Hall’s lucky ticket — a Touchdown Dollar$ — was the first of its kind to win the jackpot, according to the North Carolina Education Lottery.
