WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Someone will be $80,000 richer if they step forward to claim a winning lottery ticket bought at a Wisconsin Rapids Kwik Trip.
The Wisconsin Lottery said in a new release that someone bought the winning ticket for the Badger 5 Double Jackpot, which doubled the $40,000 prize. The winner purchased the ticket at the Kwik Trip at 4611 Eighth St. in Wisconsin Rapids.
The Wisconsin Lottery is offering a double jackpot drawing this month. If a Badger 5 jackpot is won and a doubler is drawn after that, then the winner gets double the original prize amount.
Other winners of the double jackpot this month bought their tickets in Pewaukee, Sheboygan Falls, New Berlin and Fond du Lac.
The odds of winning the Badger 5 jackpot are 1 in 169,911, according to the Wisconsin Lottery. The odds of the winner having the amount doubled are one in two.
The Badger 5 is drawn every day after 9 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before then to be included in the drawing for that day.
