MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) – Someone is a week away from letting a fortune pass them by.
The Michigan Lottery says a Powerball ticket that won $1 million in the May 5, 2021, drawing will expire in one week. The prize will be forfeited into the Michigan School Aid Fund if nobody claims the money by next Thursday.
The winning ticket sold at Warren Market on Mound Road matched all five white balls — 16-23-28-40-63. Powerball tickets are valid one year from the drawing date.
If the winner still has the ticket, they should call the Michigan Lottery at 517-373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim their prize.
